Take out your solar box, open it up and lay it on the table so that the cut-out is nearest you.

Grab your piece of velcro.

Take the right side of the box, and close it over onto the left side.

Peel the plastic backing off one side of the velcro and put it right down the center of your solar box.

Now it open it back up on the table, like in step 112. Take the Powerboost and plug the USB-A to MicroUSB-B cable into it. Then put a small piece of sponge tape on the bottom side of the board.

Now mount the Powerboost, as shown here.

Next up, the LiPo Battery Charger. Put sponge tape on the back and…

Then grab the LiPo Battery and put sponge tape on its back.

Then mount the battery in the solar box, as seen here.

Take the JST connector on the end of the battery and plug it into the LiPo Battery Charger in the connector marked ‘BATT’

Take out your solar panel and find its barrel jack plug.

Then grab the 5.5mm jack to 3.5mm jack and plug it into the solar panel’s barrel jack plug.

Then, plug the 3.5mm end of the 5.5mm jack to 3.5mm jack, into the LiPo Battery Charger.

Take the other side of your velcro that is remaining and place it at the top left on the back of the enclosure.

Now fit it behind the light’s cable, running from the enclosure to the chassis. Also, give yourself room for the power plug to fit in as well.

Take the MicroUSB-B end of the USB-A cable that is plugged into the Powerboost and plug it into the Raspberry Pi’s power jack, here.

There are two wires coming form the Powerboost - a red and a white wire. Take the white wire and put it on the GPIO pin on the lower row, 6 in from the left.

Then take the red wire and put it to the right of the white wire, on the lower row, 7 in from the left.

Your wiring from the Raspberry Pi should now look like this. You’ve made it this far - now we’re getting close to starting the unit!
