Alright, let’s lay the enclosure on its face, latch side down.

Now it’s time to get out the fans. This is a photo of only one fan and it’s thicker than the one you have, however, you should get out both of your skinny fans.

*The next steps are important, so read carefully.

It is important to know which way the fan blows in order to install them in the correct position. The right fan mount, on the top right, is the air intake vent. If you were looking at the sticker on the fan, it’d be blowing in your face. So for the right fan mount, place it sticker down.

Make sure the wires are facing back towards the middle of the box, then grab the #8-32 3/4” machine screws and pop four of them in the holes on the corners of the fan.

Now do the same thing with the second fan on the left mount except… you guessed it, sticker facing out.

This one is super simple. The pink circle is around the hole for the LED wire.

Take the grommet from the inventory and pop it into the LED wire hole on the top left side of the enclosure. The grommet is the small black piece of rubber that kind of looks like a doughnut.

Attach the suction cups on the back of the light bar to the top of the back wall of the box.

Now feed the wire from the inside of the enclosure to the outside of it, through the grommet.

Now to the brain! First, once again, turn the enclosure on its face, latch side down.

Then, take a look at the board layout diagram to the left to see where we’re headed.

Next we’re going to mount the four-channel relay. It goes at the top of the chassis.

Use four of your 2.5mm x 4mm machine screws to secure it in place.

*Hint: These screw are the tiny ones.

The next board to be attached is the Raspberry Pi 3B+. Orientation is important, so make sure that the side with the three silver boxes on it is towards the right fan mount, which is the one mounted near the top of the chassis. Use four more of your 2.5mm x 4mm screws.

Now to mount the board for the ultrasonic humidifier. Position the board so that the round barrel jack and push button face the center of the chassis, and the white JST connector faces the bottom.

And you guessed it, use four more 2.5mm x 4mm screws.

To mount the 12 volt to 5 volt converter, turn the wires towards the center of the chassis, and find the small peg with the slot of the converter.

Then install a mounting screw in the other side of the converter, and that wraps up this step!

Next, we install the heater.
